Moremi lodge Botswana

We got here yesterday after a fifteen minute plane ride,  We were sorry to leave as the xugana water trips were so peaceful and perfect.  our last morning we went for a mocoro , ride two hours being gently poled along by our guide through hippo lanes, masses of lily flowers , papyrus and coloured grasses and other vegetation.  We noticed that the water rose daily.  The run off from Angola having started late,.
As we were boating to where we picked our mocoro R noticed a hippo lying in the grasses.  We sverved around in time to see the Hippo hurl himself into the water.  they are incredibly fast swimmers and our guide sped off.
Upon arriving here our drivers swung down a road where a lioness was walking.  she passed right in front , ignoring us and the other "cars"
We were passing mopani trees and mentioned how much the elephants like them when upon turning a corner there was an enormous one.
There were large elephants everywhere ,ignoring us and the lion.
After an afternoon siesta we went for a three hour game drive, coming across feeding lions.  Our guide named MOD. took us to a herd of cape buffalo.   The lions hunt them and the carcass the lions were chewing on was a buffalo.   We watched for the Herd to scent them as apparently they will stampede, but instead the lions left nthe kill to avoid coming into contact "head on".
